We have had hard rain and decent speed winds (probably 20 MPH) and it stayed dry and in place! Overall great product, just be REALLY careful about sizing. When not inside with me, I notice them curled up in the backyard in their usual chosen spots under the insanely large maple tree enjoying the abundance of nature. The Northwest rain season is approaching, so I bought them the Igloos to help keep them dry and cozy. So I placed the Igloos In their usual sitting spots and sat next to the Igloos encouraging them to go inside, even placing treats inside the purchased dens. They have walked in and can turn around, and there is enough space for them to stand, turn around, and lay down. I was concerned the igloos would be too cramped, but the size seems to fit them well. I have 2 Aussie Shepherds, one around 50 pounds, the other around 70. So now, the questions is will they actually use the Igloos? So far, I’ve noticed them laying next to the Igloo, but not in it. I’ll keep gently encouraging them to enter inside and hope they’ll find the Igloos a better option when it begins to rain or my good intentions just cost me a load of money I could have used elsewhere. The igloos seem great, it’s just about my dog’s preferences now. It’s only been a few days, more time may be needed.Best Dog House 29 Jun 16I foster puppies and adult dogs. All of the dogs love this dog house. I witnessed a rain storm come up and some of the puppies came inside the sun room while others just wanted to stay in the igloo. I foster puppies/and adult dogs and they all love this dog house. The puppies all love getting in together. I witnessed a rain storm that came up and some of the puppies stayed in the house and as others ventured into the sun room and as I watched out my sun room sliding door, they were sleeping like babies and the rain never bothered them. We recently moved to a colder area and I knew I had to get this item. The price was Great! From my experience they lady forever. I also bought the pad for inside, but my dog is highly trained and I know he won’t demolish it. Some dogs will pull it out and eat it.Nice igloo 4 Dec 14The igloo is built well but only bad thing is if you get the mat that goes inside, it is cold so you will have to put a warm blanket or dog pillow. Good size for my two small dogs.25 years and still great! 28 Nov 14My igloos went through Hurricane Andrew in 1992 here in Homestead Fl. They were not screwed together so came apart (nothing stayed in one piece during Andrew including our vehicles, barn and house!) but did NOT break. They are still being used and have been regularly since then. When mildew takes hold of the outside, which is common here, from being under the trees in rainy weather, bleach and a scrub brush bring them right back! GREAT investment.. and when it is cold (for Miami) I stuff them with soft cheap coastal hay and the dogs LOVE to nest, and stay very warm.
