The Dog House Bar and Grill – An Old School Watering Hole
The Old School watering hole is the perfect hangout for those who want to unwind with a drink and a burger. The unfussy space is a welcome change from a busy, high-tech environment, and the bar has sports TVs for a night of sports viewing. Despite its name, this place does not serve beer, just cocktails. The bar is not a bar, but rather a watering hole, so don’t expect it to feel like a hipster hangout.
The Dog House Bar and Grill has been in business since the late 1990s. Located near Kodak Park, this neighborhood bar is known for its fried pickles, brisket, and steaks. The friendly, patient staff is happy to help you find just the right beer or burger to suit your taste. The prices are affordable, and the food is tasty. Visitors have given the Dog House a 4.2 star rating and recommend it to everyone.
The Dog House Pub opened in the late ’90s. Its owner, Kurt Ritchie, had hoped to turn the old building into a gourmet hot dog eatery. However, construction problems plagued him, and he was unable to find contractors who could do the work. But with the help of Salavatore’s and a new owner, the Doghouse will soon see a transformation. And this is just the beginning. As part of the Maplewood revitalization effort, the Dog House will open its doors in 2020!
