The Dog House Brewery Hotel in Scotland Could Be the Next Big Thing

The concept behind a microbrewery in Milwaukee’s Third Ward may have been a bit too ambitious for Bill McGinnis, who recently shelved his plans. He hopes to raise at least $300,000 through a private stock offering, but it seems unlikely to come to fruition in the near future. Instead, the company plans to open a second hotel in Scotland in 2019, named the Dog House Brewery.

The hotel is a nod to the iconic ’80s show Dog House, which closed after one season. The modern-day DogHouse will have beer taps in every room and IPA-filled hot tubs. And don’t worry, there’s a beer fridge in your shower! The company is currently funding the project through an Indiegogo campaign, which reached seventy percent of its goal in just 24 hours. The company promises to reveal all of its designs and plans as the project moves forward.

The DogHouse will have more than 30 taps, including some in each room. The hotel will also have a built-in beer fridge and an interactive beer museum. Visitors will have the chance to watch brewers at work and learn about the history of craft beer. In addition, the dog-friendly establishment will feature live performances of classic songs and bangers. The goal is to provide visitors with a memorable stay and a chance to celebrate local brewing and the art of beer.
